Electrical Contractors Association of New Brunswick
Canada Summer Jobs Program | 8-Week Term (with possibility of extension) | Fredericton, New Brunswick
The Electrical Contractors Association of New Brunswick (ECANB) is seeking two summer students to support the Association’s work in member services, administration, communications, and industry research. These positions offer valuable experience in a professional office environment and exposure to New Brunswick’s construction and electrical contracting industry.
Position 1 – Member Services and Administrative Assistant
- Update and verify member contact information and company records.
- Assist with organizing digital and paper files and improving records management.
- Support meeting and event preparation, including materials and checklists.
- Create or update administrative templates, forms, and tracking tools.
- Help prepare member resource materials and welcome packages.
Position 2 – Communications and Industry Research Assistant
- Assist with newsletters, website updates, and social media content.
- Prepare member spotlight stories and promotional materials.
- Research construction, labour market, training, and industry trends.
- Compile information on projects, workforce issues, and funding opportunities.
- Support event promotion, post-event summaries, and outreach materials.
Qualifications and Hiring Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic digital tools
Hiring Requirements:
- Be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person)
